Reynolds Subaru is a proud supporter of Subaru Loves Pets!
This year we are proud to partner with the Connecticut Humane Society of Waterford!
Over the years, Reynolds Subaru has supported local animal shelters and provided resources to help these wonderful animals find their furever families. We will be donating $100 for every pet adopted during the month of October!
About Our Partner Shelter
The Connecticut Humane Society of Waterford finds new homes for abused and abandoned pets. Strays rescued from the streets, taken from dumpsters and abusive situations, frightened, hungry and often in need of medical attention, are brought to us and are soon restored to health, dignity, and happiness while in our care.
The Humane Society also works hard to find new homes for pets that can no longer be kept by their owners. Forever Paws offers a positive solution to people finding themselves in the agonizing situation of having to surrender a pet.
The Humane Society is a non-profit organization. It relies on donations, fundraisers, adoptions, and dedicated benefactors, to keep the shelter in operation, as it does not receive any state or federal funding. It is governed by a volunteer board of directors.

More Ways To LOVE Pets!
Getting involved is easy. We know your phone is full of photos of your furry friends…ours, too. All you have to do is post! Throughout the month of October, post a public photo or video of your pet on Facebook, Instagram, X, or TikTok using the hashtag #SNELovesPets. In celebration of 10 years of helping our furry friends through #SNELovesPets, we're pledging $10 per unique post to give every post more power! Our goal is to hit a total 15,000 (or more!) pet posts using #SNELovesPets, which will ensure each shelter receives $6,250!
For Subaru of New England, this campaign is about more than just raising funds - it's about spreading the word for the animals we love. With your help, we can raise awareness and make sure shelter pets get the care, love, and forever homes they deserve.
How Can You Help?
There are many ways individuals can help animals in need. Here are some impactful actions you can take:Adopt, Don't Shop: Consider adopting a pet from a shelter or rescue organization instead of buying from a breeder or pet store. Volunteer: Offer your time at local animal shelters or rescue groups. Tasks can range from walking dogs to helping with administrative work. Donate: Financial contributions, pet food, supplies, or even old blankets and towels can make a big difference. Foster: Provide a temporary home for animals in need, helping them transition from shelters to permanent homes. Advocate: Raise awareness about animal welfare issues in your community and support legislation that protects animals. Educate: Teach others about responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying/neutering pets to control the animal population. Report Abuse: If you witness animal cruelty or neglect, report it to local authorities or animal control. Support Ethical Brands: Choose products from companies that prioritize animal welfare and avoid those that test on animals.
