Unity: it's the Subaru way of doing things. We're unified in Subaru's philanthropic efforts; from taking care of the earth with Partial Zero Emissions Vehicles and hybrid models to taking care of our families with advanced technologies like Subaru EyeSight® driver assist technology, Subaru's always been about sticking together. Now, Subaru will bring a whole new meaning to the word unity in 2016 when all new Subaru models share a new platform.
What does this mean for Subaru? For one, it means lower costs and a better use of time for development--in short: it's more efficient.
What else does it mean for this vivacious lineup? Expect a new generation of engine technology in the future. Direct injection, lean-burn technology, cylinder deactivation--if these all sound appealing to you, then 2016 brings fruitful change.
In addition to a new platform and new technology--and even a plug-in hybrid power plant in 2017 (Subaru's first-ever)--we'll also see some refreshes from the lineup. We've already seen big changes in vehicles like the Outback, and there are no big changes planned for the WRX right away, but we can certainly expect a few refreshes in 2017 from the Legacy, XV Crosstrek among others--including the aforementioned Outback!
There's also buzz about a seven-seat crossover which could go on sale in the coming years. We don't have too many details yet, but for upcoming Subaru news, you know you can count on our Reynolds Subaru blog to have it covered!
To view any of the above-mentioned vehicles or our whole lineup, stop by our Lyme, CT location, and we'll arrange a test drive for you!
