Every day, we are surrounded by beauty. The natural landscape and serene character of its community members are what make Lyme, CT a special place we call home. Why not celebrate it? This weekend, friends, families, neighbors and more are coming together to do just that at the annual Tour de Lyme on Sunday, May 18 to help support the Lyme Land Conservation Trust.
The event offers a variety of bike routes, so there's room for every level cyclist. For a lighter ride with the kids, there is an eight-mile Family road bike ride option. Stepping it up a notch, are the Valley and Classic road bike routes, each being 26 miles; Valley ride is less hilly than the Classic. For the seasoned cyclist, the 57-mile Challenge road bike route has your name on it. Additionally, the event offers two trail bike rides: the three-hour Rider's test and the 1-hour Woodland Tour.
It's not too late to register! Do so before 6:00 p.m. tomorrow, May 17 by visiting this link: https://lymelandtrust.webconnex.com/TourdeLymeRegistration
The event begins at the Ashland Farm on Bill Hill Rd. in Lyme. There will be volunteers setting up the route markers today and tomorrow, setting up the venue tomorrow, and on Sunday, they will assist with parking, rest stops, the Post Ride Picnic, and the take down process.
To help support the cause, we at Reynolds Subaru have made donations, and our dealership will be an official Bike Drop Off location. The Tour de Lyme and the cyclists who help keep the event alive make us proud to be a part of the tradition, and--much like our lineup of new Subaru vehicles-- the spirit of Lyme is pure in its desire to seek adventure, preserve our environment, and build strong relationships along the way. We hope to see you this weekend!
