This probably isn't the first time you've heard Subaru fans buzz about the 2015 Subaru Outback, which we're patiently waiting for in our Lyme, CT showroom. It's also not uncommon to see older versions of the iconic wagon on the streets of Norwich, New London, and Middletown, out in the woods, or traversing through snow. For years, the Outback has delivered its promise of strong capability, practicality, and adventure, and we expect nothing less from the newest model.
All of this begs the larger question: should you consider a Subaru Outback wagon?
If you're into incredible on and off-road capability, modern technology, and a comfortable vehicle to call home-on-wheels with you and your family, the Outback's your winner. It's also a winner if safety is high on your lists of "must-haves." Available later this year, the 2015 Subaru Outback will be equipped with the next-generation, optional technology that helped the 2014 model earn an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating: the Subaru EyeSight® Drive Assist Technology.
Subaru EyeSight® is an advanced safety feature that uses two cameras on the rearview mirror to oversee the vehicle's environment, provides the driver visual and audible alerts, and, if necessary, it applies the brakes automatically.
To see the technology in action, we've provided the following video for your viewing pleasure.
It's also worth hearing testimony from other Subaru drivers how well Subaru EyeSight® works for them, and--in some cases--how it saved their life. Such was the case for Subaru driver Anne Zacovic, for whom the technology was a transformational experience. This is her story:
If you're like Anne and you value the power of reliable and effective safety innovations in your new Subaru, then you've come to the right place: Reynolds Subaru. Feel free to contact us anytime to inquire about the Outback, any other vehicle of interest, or the next-generation Subaru EyeSight®, which we anticipate will be available later this fall.
