In its 2015 model year, that fact hasn't changed. Equipped with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive with X-Mode gives you full control of your journey; X-Mode with Hill Descent is an option with just the push of a button, and the vehicle provides 8.7 inches of ground clearance for increased drivability and peace-of-mind.
Powering the Outback, the 2.5i models pack a 175-horsepower, 2.5-liter flat four under the hood, and 3.6R models receive a 256-horsepower, 2.5-liter boxer six. Additionally, the Outback has a retuned suspension, stiffer body shell, quick-ratio electric power steering, and Lineartronic continuously variable transmission with paddle shifters across all models.
Among other exciting features to look forward to when it's released this summer include:
- Improved fuel economy ratings to 25 mpg city/33 highway
- Rearview camera is standard on all models, and the EyeSight System is available
